The SUNNY SIDE of MJF : there are some rare moments on the main stages to listen to jazz. Hopefully, on the Music in the Park's "menu", jazz musicians find an audience. Above this, the different competitions (guitar, piano, sax and voice) present a fantastic chance for knowing new talents. On the next entry of this blog, you'll read some details about the 9 selected voices of 2010.

Le Côté Ensoleilée du MJF : vous écouterez à de rares occasions du jazz sur les scènes principales. Heureusement, dans le "menu" de Music in the Park, des jazzistes trouvent un public. Voice Contest Fest - FESTA DAS VOZES do MJF

That's an open question to the MJF staff: why don't we organize a fest for all "voice contest" participants ? I'd like to look for funds to offer the same monney, the same opportunities as done to the first place, for all 9 candidates. Who wants to help me in this purpose ?

EIS UMA PERGUNTA PUBLICA AO STAFF DO Montreux Jazz Festival: PORQUE NAO ORGANIZAMOS UMA FESTA PARA TODOS OS PARTICIPANTES DO "VOICE CONTEST" ? QUERIA BUSCAR FUNDOS PARA OFERECER A MESMA GRANA, AS MESMAS OPORTUNIDADES DADAS A PRIMEIRA COLOCADA, PARA TODAS AS 9 CANDIDATAS. QUEM PODE ME AJUDAR NESSE OBJETIVO ?

Voici une question libre au STAFF du MJF: pourquoi n'organisons-nous pas une fête pour tous les participants du "voice contest" ? J'aimerais chercher des fonds pour offrir la même somme, les mêmes opportunités données à la première placée, à tous les 9 candidates. Qui veut m'aider dans cet objectif ?

Montreux Voice Contest

Even if we can ask ourselves wether a competition is a subject in a music festival or not, I seize the opportunity to present the 9 first classified. We shouldn't go further in the selection. That show that was performed on July 14th of 2010, at 6p.m. was so exciting, it's not fare to make a choice at this level of artists... I beg you a pardon, but that's what I'm thinking... Let's speak about young talents that aren't famous!

Mesmo si podemos interogar-se sobre a necessidade de uma competiçao num festival de musica, eu topo e aproveito da oportunidade para apresentar as 9 candidatas melhor colocadas. Nao deveria continuar a seleção. O show performado no dia 14 de julho 2010 fui tao emocionante, é injusto de escolher qualquer uma, a este nivel de artistas. Peço perdão, mas é o que penso... Vamos falar de jovens talentos que não são famosos!

Même s'il on peut s'interroger sur le bien-fondé d'une compétition en chanteuse, de plus est dans un festival, je saisis la chance pour présenter les 9 premières candidates. Nous ne devrions pas continuer la sélection. Le spectacle présenté le mercedi 14 juillet de 2010, à 18h, fut tellement émotionnant, ce n'est pas juste de tirer des choix à ce niveau d'artistes. Je vous demande pardon, mais c'est ce que je pense... Allons parler de jeunes talents qui ne sont pas fameux!
